  • Workforce Planning & Development
    • Identify your staffing needs. Consider flexible staffing alternatives
    • Identify the essential job functions necessary for your business
    • Design and develop job descriptions for those functions to be peformed:
      • Job description guidelines:
        • Descriptive titles
        • Identify the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) exempt or nonexempt status
        • Include an overall summary of the job, list principal duties, tasks or responsibilities
        • Identify essential job functions and physical requirement for ADA purposes
        • Validate knowledge, skills and abilities to make certain they are job related
  • Screening, Selection & Placement
    • Establish recruiting objectives
      • Recruiting strategy would include:
        • How and where you'll recruit
        • Pay and benefits package to be offered
        • Time and budget constraints
    • Establish selection criteria and an evaluation tool
      • Application form
      • Pre-screening and Interviewing
      • Interviewing guidelines. If a question is job related, it is appropriate to ask
      • Apply the knowledge, skills and abilities as your criteria for selection
      • Develop a tool you can utilize during the interview process that will allow you to compare qualifications of the candidate and select appropriately

    • Conduct compliance audit to ensure adherence to governing state and federal regulation
      • I-9 forms and retention

    • Conduct policy reviews to ensure practices are aligned with documented procedures and processes including but not limited too:
      • Benefit and Pay overview
      • Company mission and vision
      • Company goals and objectives
